The Gist: Dumont Creamery & Cafe opened this month at 230 Palladio Parkway in Folsom. Its rotating ice cream lineup draws on desserts from around the world, with flavors including filter coffee and kheer, a South Asian pudding. Drinks range from boba milk tea to a date-cardamom latte.

Kaiser's Folsom care expansion gets underway

The Gist: Primary and specialty care, imaging, a lab and a pharmacy are planned under one roof on Folsom's Iron Point Road. The 187,000-square-foot outpatient center is expected to open in May 2030, according to KCRA's October 20 report.

Why It Matters: You won't have to wait until 2030 for the surgery-center expansion: it's expected in March 2028 and will let more people have surgery closer to home, according to vascular surgeon Dr. Rich Florio.
