$170K Granted to Local Nonprofits
The Gist: The El Dorado Hills Area Foundation handed out more than $170,000 to 19 local nonprofits at its annual Impact Celebration on Feb. 7 at Serrano Country Club. Nearly 200 people attended, including a standout moment from 8-year-old Dyllan Young, who donated proceeds from her lemonade and hot chocolate sales to the foundation.
Why It Matters: Since 2013, EDHAF has awarded over $913,000 to support vital programs across El Dorado Hills, with 96% of donations going directly back to the community.
Stretch Zone Reopens with Free Sessions
The Gist: Stretch Zone in Folsom is hosting a grand reopening on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 717 E. Bidwell St., Suite 2. The event features refreshments, giveaways, and complimentary 30-minute stretch sessions for first-timers. New research shows practitioner-assisted stretching improves flexibility, sleep quality, and daily energy, with 85% of participants gaining better range of motion.
