Can you believe we are already staring down the end of February? It feels like we just took the holiday lights down, yet here we are talking about spring scholarships and summer planning.

The weather has been a bit of a mixed bag lately, but it is the perfect excuse to duck into a cozy local spot. This week, we are shining a light on a Folsom eatery that is making national waves. It is always a win when the rest of the country realizes what we already know about our local food scene.
In today’s Scoop:
🥗 Top-tier Lebanese in a plaza.
🛍️ Handmade treasures at WOLFHOME.
🎭 New $5,000 student art grants.
🏆 El Dorado Hills business winners.

A National Treasure in a Strip Mall

1008 Riley St, Folsom, CA 95630
It is not every day a local shopping plaza spot earns a seat among the top 100 restaurants in America, but Zest Mediterranean Cuisine has done exactly that. This family run Lebanese gem prepares everything fresh to order right before your eyes.
Between the pomegranate infused chicken shawarma and the flaky, honeyed baklava, the flavors are remarkably vibrant. Portions are generous enough to share, though the authentic garlic sauce is something you will want to keep all to yourself.

A mini in-person Etsy shop

307 Riley St, Folsom, CA 95630
Tucked away in Historic Folsom, WOLFHOME is a feast for the eyes. Each room in this charming shop is dedicated to a different interest, filled with handmade treasures from local artisans.
You’ll find delicate resin jewelry, botanical body products, and eclectic home decor that feels genuinely one of a kind. The owner, Stacy, makes everyone feel like a regular, even hosting whimsical workshops and tea parties in their beautiful Flower Room.

The Gist: The Folsom Concert Association is officially accepting applications for its 2026 Performing Arts Scholarship Program. High school seniors across the Sacramento region can snag up to $5,000 to help fund careers in music, theater, dance, or film production. This 31-year-old nonprofit has already poured over $96,000 into the dreams of 32 local students, and they are looking for the next round of talent to support.
Why it matters: It is a major boost for local families facing rising tuition costs while ensuring our community’s vibrant arts scene continues to thrive through the next generation.
What’s next: Students must submit their applications by Friday, March 6, 2026, via the Folsom Concert Association website.

The Gist: Nearly 200 neighbors gathered at Serrano Country Club last Thursday for the Chamber’s 38th Annual Business Awards. The sold-out gala celebrated local icons, including Small Business of the Year winner Bianca Wittenberg of FireFighter 1 and Kevin Nagle, who received the first-ever Legacy in Commerce Award. Between the silent auction and dinner, Sheriff Jeff Leikauf officially swore in the 2025–2026 Board of Directors.
