The Posh Bagel just landed in EDH

The Posh Bagel opens in El Dorado Hills

The Gist: The Posh Bagel has officially opened its doors at 3389 Bass Lake Road in the Sienna Ridge retail center. They serve everything from breakfast sandwiches to classic bagels with lox spread. The chain moved its headquarters from Santa Clara to Sacramento back in 2020 and already has nearby locations in Roseville, Davis, and Folsom.

Why It Matters: We now have a fresh morning breakfast option right in the neighborhood. And there is even more to look forward to soon, as the chain is already planning a second EDH location over at the Town Center.

New specialty Vet Center opens

The Gist: Summit Veterinary Specialty Center has opened a new 5,000-square-foot facility at 5176 Hillsdale Circle in El Dorado Hills after celebrating with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 10. Founded by board-certified surgeon Dr. Justin Uhl, the center brings advanced orthopedic and soft-tissue surgeries, CT scans, and low-stress all-glass recovery enclosures. The team relocated its primary surgery practice from Sacramento's Pocket neighborhood to better serve local families, though they are keeping their mobile surgical service running too.

Why It Matters: Having high-level surgical care right down the street is a huge win for pet parents. Instead of driving long distances during a medical emergency, local families can now get specialized, life-saving care close to home while keeping their regular hometown vets in the loop. The center plans to expand its specialized offerings even further by introducing total joint replacements starting in 2027.

Crafting cozy scented creations

It's the time of the year when gathering indoors feel right. At Candle Bar, small groups spend ninety minutes blending custom coconut-soy waxes, choosing fragrances, and arranging dried botanicals or crystals inside chosen glass vessels.

Bring a bottle of wine for a birthday, gather friends, or order a $40 kit to pour three candles at home. Such a creative way to settle into the season!
